Visma expands in the Netherlands

Visma Group, a leading supplier of business software for SMEs and the (semi) public sector in Scandinavia and the Benelux, has taken over Idella. Idella provides financial software and services for pension funds, banks and insurance companies in the Netherlands.

The transaction is the fourth acquisition by Visma in the Netherlands in the past four months. The acquisition fits in with the strategy to further expand the activities in this region and to strengthen the market position in Northern Europe.

Earlier this year, Visma announced the acquisition of the Dutch companies ProActive, Raet and PinkWeb. The company continues to look for opportunities to increase the presence and product range in the Netherlands.

Visma operates throughout Scandinavia, the Benelux and Central and Eastern Europe and has more than 8,500 employees and 850,000 customers. Net sales in 2017 amounted to approximately EUR 1.2 billion.

Visma is a subsidiary of Hg, a specialist investor in the sector. Hg has funds with a total of EUR 10 billion under management, in which more than 100 high-quality institutional investors participate.

SPJ supports Hg in media contacts in the Netherlands.
